About this trip

Our shortest trip and the one most people's first Mistiii Tales trip turns out to be. An overnight bus from Delhi on Friday, sixteen kilometres of grade three rapids on Saturday, a waterfall trek and a bonfire that night, then the Parmarth Niketan aarti on Sunday evening before the bus home. Cliff jumping and bungee are optional and about half the group does both. It is cheap, it is quick, and it is a very efficient way to acquire fourteen new friends.

  • 16km of grade II–III rafting from Shivpuri to Rishikesh
  • Cliff jumping into the Ganga, for anyone who wants to
  • The Neer Garh waterfall trek
  • Ganga aarti at Parmarth Niketan
  • A riverside bonfire, and the Beatles ashram if there is time

Day by day

3 days, written by the host who runs it.

Day 1Friday: overnight from Delhi

Meet at Kashmere Gate at 10pm for the overnight bus. Not glamorous, extremely efficient.

Day 2Saturday: rafting and the bonfire

Arrive early, breakfast, then 16km of rafting with a cliff-jump stop. Afternoon free or the waterfall trek. Bonfire and music by the river at night.

Day 3Sunday: Rishikesh and home

Laxman Jhula, the Beatles ashram, cafés in Tapovan. Ganga aarti at Parmarth Niketan in the evening, then the overnight bus back. Delhi by early Monday.
