About this trip
Our shortest domestic trip after Rishikesh, and the one people book when they need to stop. Four days between Coorg and Chikmagalur, staying on working coffee estates where the smell of drying beans is the whole atmosphere. There is a plantation walk with someone who actually grows it, Abbey and Hebbe falls, a sunrise at Mullayanagiri which is the highest point in Karnataka, and a great deal of sitting on a veranda. Nobody has ever asked us to add anything to this itinerary.
- Two nights on a working coffee estate in Coorg
- A plantation walk and cupping session with the grower
- Sunrise at Mullayanagiri, the highest point in Karnataka
- Abbey falls and Hebbe falls
- The Namdroling monastery at Bylakuppe
- Raja's Seat at sunset, which is touristy and worth it anyway
