The first traveller stories are being written and edited now, and they go up here as their authors sign them off. Nothing appears until the person who wrote it has read the edit and said yes.

What happens after you press send

You write it and send it
Any length over about 300 characters. Photographs welcome. Write it how it comes out — we are not looking for polish.

It goes to our editors, not the website
Nothing appears publicly until a person has read it and approved it. Usually within a week.

You see the edit before anyone else does
We send the edited version back to you. Nothing is published that you have not signed off.

It goes live, and sometimes further
Published here with your name on it. The strongest few each quarter go to our publication partners, with your permission and always credited to you.
You keep the rights to your story. We ask for permission to publish it here and, separately, to pass it to a publication partner. You can say yes to one and no to the other, and you can ask us to take it down later.
For publication partners
Approved stories publish automatically to a feed, so nobody has to email files. Only stories an author has signed off ever appear in it.
Both feeds are live and both are currently empty — no author has cleared a story for syndication yet. They will start returning stories the day one does, with no change needed at your end.
